 Our authentic Collectors Edition Indy-style Adventurer jacket is constructed from a very special pre-distressed cowhide. The leather is from the same tannery that supplied the leather to the studio to create the on-screen jackets worn by the star of the 2008 movie featuring that famous fedora-wearing archaeologist. This leather, which duplicates the look of the movie leather, is a very soft chocolate brown cowhide and features a variety of graining, scuffs, range marks and distressing to give it an authentic "vintage" look. The jackets are not churned out on an assembly line, but are handcrafted from handpicked hides to ensure the utmost quality. Other features include: two front snap-flapped cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, bi-swing back for freedom of movement, adjustable side straps for a custom fit, top & bottom snaps on the windflap, and an inside pocket. All in all, we feel this is a jacket that any adventure-seeking archaeologist would be proud to wear and one that is truly rugged enough to handle your real-life adventures! A US Wings exclusive. Quality + Value! This version of our popular Indy-style jacket is constructed from soft naked cowhide, which offers the durability of cowhide with the suppleness usually associated with lambskin! We used the finest naked Italian cowhide available and antiqued the finish, giving the jacket a subtle patina of age. Other features include two front cargo pockets (with side entry handwarmers), side adjustment straps, bi-swing back for freedom of movement, nylon lining, and an interior pocket to stash your valuables. Quality + Value: Our Lightweight Antique New Zealand Lambskin Indy-style Hero Jacket is the ideal year 'round leather jacket. It features a shell made from ultra luxurious & lightweight New Zealand lambskin, a truly upscale leather that is noticeably lighter than goatskin and considerably lighter than cowhide (comparison: our Lightweight Antique Lambskin Hero Jacket in size Medium weighs just 2.25 lbs; our Goatskin Indy-style Jacket in size Medium weighs 4.35 lbs). In fact, you really must wear this jacket to fully appreciate just how supple and lightweight it is! The jacket is hand-aged to achieve its distinctive antiqued finish, resulting in subtle color variations throughout, so no two jackets will look exactly alike.
All the classic Indy jacket features are here, including two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, one interior pocket, a windflap over an antiqued brass zipper, pleated back panel for freedom of movement, side-adjustment straps, plain cuffs & bottom, and a nylon lining. Due to its light weight, it may not be the ideal jacket to wear if you plan on being dragged beneath a truck, but it is the ideal Indy-style jacket for warm weather wear! Also makes the perfect "travel" jacket: its light weight makes it easy to pack, carry & store and its style & comfort ensures that you'll be the well-dressed adventurer once you reach your destination! US Wings is proud to re-introduce the Original Pattern "Raiders"-style Jacket, based on the specs of Neil Cooper, who designed the original movie jacket three decades ago. While there are many Indy-style jackets available (including our own), this original pattern jacket hasn't been seen for almost 30 years! Following Neil Cooper's specs to the letter, we painstakingly recreated this classic jacket and will be offering it in a choice of four leathers: cowhide, calfskin, striated lambskin, and horsehide.
Features include two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, pleated action back for freedom of movement, side adjustment straps with rectangular buckles, an interior pocket, nylon lining, nickel zipper, and plain cuffs & bottom.
The leather, graining, and antiquing process makes these truly beautiful jackets to behold, but don't let their good looks fool you: these aren't mere "fashion" jackets -- they're tough & rugged enough to stand up to real-life adventures (should you ever find yourself dodging gigantic boulders, outrunning angry natives, or battling Nazis in a burning bar).
